“It is only when you take responsibility for your life that you discover how powerful you truly are.”Allanah Hunt
Who Am I…
To be clear, I am not a therapist or a counselor or a psychologist or a licensed practitioner of any kind. I am just a person who has had a messy life. I am someone just like you. Someone who hasn’t always made the right choices or gone in the right direction to get myself on a better path. I have had to tap into strength and courage I never knew I had. And because of that, I would like to share my story with you.
You will read stories that are hopeful and stories that are not. I have written them all in my journey. This is my journal through my journey and it is not over. Some stories you read will have been written years ago. Some are not yet written. I will try to compile them in a sequence that makes sense.
At times this journal will read as a journey of struggle. Emotional and verbal abuse, divorce and loss, hurt and anger, depression, anxiety and fear. There are also stories of physical and mental endurance, strength and courage, love and laughter, friendship, family and faith. They are words of my hopes, my fears, my dreams and everything else in between.
If you chose to stay with me, I ask of you one thing. That with each story you read, you understand the self-reflection in each. The accountability in each choice I have made, good and bad. Each writing holds my truth and the understanding that asking the question “why” in order to get to a positive ending, is acceptable.
This is My Messy Life. A journey to self-love and happiness.

And it is not always what we think it is. The obvious state of jealousy that comes in the form ofContinue reading “The green monster.”
“Don’t look back and ask, why? Look ahead and ask, why not?“ Neil Patel There is a saying in my family… it started with a podcast called the Monday Nooner that my brother-in-law listens to. In the podcast they consistently ask the question ‘why wouldn’t a guy (or girl to be politically correct and all)?’Continue reading “Why wouldn’t a guy.”
